Mission:
Redeemer Community Church exists to glorify God by working to see souls made alive to God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Vision:
Responding out of overwhelming love and gratitude for God’s wondrous work of mercy and grace, we seek to be a community of believers that is committed to historical, orthodox, biblical preaching and teaching, Christ-centered and Spirit-filled worship, discipleship and growth of the believer, loving and serving our community, and declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ to our city, our state, our country, and to the ends of the earth.
Values:
Our core values are truth, worship, discipleship, sacrifice, community, and mission.
- Truth – God’s Word is truth. All truth is subject to God’s truths as contained in the Bible.
- Worship – God is the only Being in all of creation that is worthy of worship. As gracious subjects, we worship God in both Spirit and Truth, engaging both the intellect and the emotions.
- Discipleship – Jesus Christ’s standing order on earth is for His people to “go and make disciples of all nations”. The focus of this mission is not conversion, which is only accomplished by God’s work, but rather loving and helping those who have been converted grow in knowledge and worship of Jesus.
- Sacrifice – One of the overall principles of Scripture is sacrificial living. This is most completely revealed in the life and death of Jesus Christ. Believers are called to follow this example and live lives of willing sacrifice to the benefit of others.
- Community – The life of the Christian is not meant to be lived in isolation. Believers are called to live life together, both with other believers as well as the world around them. Believers are to be a powerful force in their communities working to push back the darkness with the light of Jesus Christ.
- Mission – Christians are called to live intentionally missional lives, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who are lost and dying apart from Christ.
