After years of serving together on worship teams and in preaching, teaching, Bible studies, etc., we feel God’s call to follow the new path that He has set before us.

Jesus told us to “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations” (Matt 28:19). Unfortunately, so often we read this as “Stay within your building walls and create opportunities for people who have no desire for Me to further reject my gospel and my Church.” The critical piece that is missing is the going.

After attempts to “evangelize” our community through church events and alternative services, we realized that we had been going about reaching our community all wrong. As followers of Christ, we are not called to “do” evangelism, but rather to “be” evangelism. We are called to live lives that are purposefully centered upon sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with any and all who will hear.

Redeemer Community Church is a new church, but it has existed – conceptually, at least – for over a year. We don’t claim that our way of doing church is the only way to do church, but rather it’s the way that we feel Christ is calling us to serve Him and His Church. We fully admit that we may be getting in over our heads, but if God is for us (and He is) then nothing can be against us! (Rom 8:31-35)

Please pray for us as we set out on this journey. It’s going to be a bumpy ride but we are here to serve God, one another, and our community until the Lord says we’re done.

God bless,
