A year ago, we had no clue that God would call us to start a church in Valley Station, KY that is committed to both historical, orthodox, biblical teaching and preaching and the fullness of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. As God would have it, we find ourselves in that very place: feeling His call on our lives to reach out to our community in both Spirit and Truth. That call has led us to start working to build Redeemer Community Church.

Redeemer Community Church seeks to be a beacon of light into the darkness that surrounds and envelops Southwest Jefferson County. In a community in which a large majority of people are either “de-churched” or “over-churched”, we want to provide an authentic community of believers who are committed to loving Christ, one another, and the community around them. We want to be a community of believers that doesn’t look at the lost with scorn and distaste but rather sees them as bearers of the image of God and in need of a relationship with their Creator. We want to see marriages, families, lives, institutions, governments, and worldviews radically affected and changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ and the worship of His holy Name. We are but lowly beggars trying to show other beggars where to find the Bread of Life.

We are in the beginning stages of what will be a life-changing experience in obedience to God and stepping out in faith.
